An Autonomous Network object (or an existing Group folder) must be selected before the activating the Add Group control. To edit a group, a group must be selected. Group Folders can be nested to many levels.

Group Folders can also have restrictions to enforce data entry limited to a particular range of Subnets. This prevents users from accidentally moving Subnets into a Group where they do not belong. For more details, please refer to the Group Restrictions section.

Add/Edit a Group

To add a new Group, click Add Group on the Toolbar.

Click on Show Options to display the Group Restrictions settings.

Enter a name for the Group and click OK.

To edit a group, select it and click Edit.

Group Restrictions

You can apply restrictions to Group Folders to limit the data to a particular range of Subnets. This prevents users from accidentally moving a Subnet into a Group where it does not belong.

To apply restrictions to a Group Folder, click the Show Options button.

Enter the IP version and the Subnet Range for this Group Folder and click OK.

The Group Folder will be displayed with a red star to show that it is restricted.

If you try to move or add Subnets to a Restricted Group that are outside the designated range, an error message will be displayed.
