Exporting Data

Easy-IP allows you to export Subnet and IP Address information to XML, CSV or HTML for easy manipulation by other applications.
Export Subnets and IP Addresses as XML
To export data to an XML file select the Tools ribbon tab and click Export. To export to other formats, click the drop down arrow then select the appropriate format.
XML is the only export format that can export both subnets and IP addresses to the same file. In addition, the hierarchical structure is maintained. If you need to import the data back into Easy-IP this is the format you should choose.

Filename |
The file to which you want to save the exported data. When exporting via the web interface, the filename property will not be visible. Once the export data has been generated you will be prompted for the filename. |
Export children |
When this option is checked, the currently selected groups and subnets will be exported along with all their children. If it is left unchecked, only the selected items will be exported. |
Export IP addresses |
When checked, IP addresses will be exported along with the groups and subnets. |
Compress XML |
XML files can be extremely large. Select this option if you would like to compress the XML data before saving. Compressed XML files can be imported directly into Easy-IP. |
Export field names as IDs |
Check this option to replace field names with IDs. This can reduce the size of the XML, but will reduce readability. |
Include system fields |
If this option is not checked, only fields visible to the user will be exported. |
