The user interface of the MIB Browser is divided into different areas as follows:

1. Ribbon toolbar

Use the ribbon toolbar to access all the functionality of the Mib browser. The ribbon will automatically resize with the Mib browser.

2. Host name

This drop down box contains the name or IP Address of the host you would like to communicate with. In order to have access to an SNMP enabled device, its details must be added to the Easy-IP SNMP agent list.

This list can be accessed by clicking on the button.

3. SNMP agent information

This label displays information about the agent properties that will be used to contact the host. As you type the host name, the label will be updated depending on whether or not a matching agent is found. The label will often contain clickable links that you can use for fast access to the SNMP agent editors.

4. Mib search

You can use this edit box to dynamically search the Mib tree. As you type, the Mib tree is searched and matching oid nodes are highlighted. The current matching node is displayed in yellow. Additional nodes that also match the search are displayed in a lighter yellow. To move to the next result in the search, hit "Enter" or click the green arrow.

5. Mib tree

A MIB tree is a structure that displays all the loaded MIBs. You can change the mibs that are displayed by clicking "Select MIB files".

6. Result tabs

Result tabs display the results from SNMP operations. Click "New tab" to open a fresh tab or simply hold down the "CTRL" key while performing an action to automatically display the results in a new tab.

7. Select/Close result tabs

Use the arrow button to quickly select a result tab and click the 'x' button to close a tab.

8. Result search

Matching results will be instantly displayed as you type in the result search box. The matching text will even be highlighted to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

9. Result display settings

The result display settings control how the SNMP results are presented. When you change a setting the results are updated instantaneously.

10. Result information

The result information label informs you about the current state of the results. The details include how many results are filtered, how many total results etc.

11. Results

The results from an SNMP operation are displayed here. The way the results are presented depends on the result display settings. Results can be copied or exported in various formats.

12. Status bar

The status bar displays information relevant to the current SNMP operation.
